1. The Applicant should have completed Matric.
2. The Applicant should be a South African citizen;
3. The Applicant should have obtained a 70% average (or above) for each subject and a 70% average (or above) for the total average of the applicants subjects from the previous academic year;
4. The Applicant should be accepted at a tertiary institution in the Republic of South Africa; for his/her chosen studies for the intended year and field of study;
5. The Applicant must be willing to specialise in either IT or Commerce fields of study;
6. The Applicant must be from a previously disadvantaged background with a household income not more than R350 000.00 (three hundred and fifty thousand rand) per annum;
7. The Applicant must be dedicated to consistently meeting the academic requirements of the Foundation throughout their studies; and
8. The Applicant must have the same vision and mission of the Foundation. He/she must be insightful, diligent and have enthusiasm to accomplish excellence. He/she must have the will to succeed, contribute and give back to his/her community.

1. Certified ID of Applicant;
2. Certified ID of applicant's parent/s and/or legal guardians;
3. Certified copy of matric results and/or previous academic years transcript of applicant;
4. Certified or official recent payslip, letter of employment, not older than 3 months for each parent or your legal guardian;
5. Certified copy of a South African Social Security Agency ("SASSA") letter if any of the applicants family members are receiving a social grant and are contributing to the applicants household income;
6. If the applicants parents or legal guardian works as an informal trader, please provide an affidavit signed by them to confirm this employment (please insert the informal traders contact details in the affidavit).
7. If either of the applicant's parents do not live at home, please provide an affidavit explaining the reasons.
8. If the applicant is supported by someone who is not the applicant's parent or legal guardian, please provide an affidavit explaining the reasons.
9. Motivational letter, to motivate reasons why the scholarship should be awarded to the applicant.

I hereby certify that the information that will be provided in this application is true and correct. I understand that any false or incorrect information provided will automatically constitute my application unsuccessful. I authorise the administrators, directors and/or all members of the ITHUBA Bursary to use the information provided by me in verifying and confirming the authenticity and accuracy of the information and attachments submitted by me. Contrary to what is stated elsewhere in other documents, any and all rights I have I waive in relation to being notified of the use of my personal information in relation to this application.

Through the acceptance and by clicking the submit option of this application I therefore agree and consent that the ITHUBA may:

1. Use and store personal information provided by me for an indefinite period;
2. Use personal information provided by me for internal and external assessment processes, evaluations and statistical procedures and/or research processes and
3. Take pictures and recordings (if I am invited for an interview) and to further make use of these pictures and recordings in any manner for the purposes of promoting the ITHUBA Bursary.
